The other Chris.
Believe it or not, I'm not much into web-comics. Also, I have attention deficit for real life stories. Well... after knowing the work of Chris Downes, I changed my mind.
Chris has a normal life as many of us. In Tasmania (!). But every night, at the drawing table, his life becomes his inspiration... and he stands out among the crowd. His purpose is simple yet essential: to share the tiny details that makes "the Everyday" so unique and unrepeatable.
Have a laugh, shed a tear, make a daily discovery of the adventures and misadventures of Chris & Briony in the Land of Oz. Hi Briony!
Any similarity with real characters and events, is not purely coincidental.
BTW: Chris made two comic-chronicles about his participation on this "project" and one nice color drawing. The second strip became the participation itself. Amazing. Thanks, Chris!

Young Chris Baldie and me have some things in common.
We both have an autographed image from each other (hanging around someplace at home). It's a long story.
We publish daily on the 'net. Or almost daily.
We like robots, Canada, weird characters and things alike.
I'm proud to present his "788" piece, straight from Glasgow!
Visit the daily blog of my friend Chris right in here!
Thanks, Chris!

Some photographers are in touch with human nature. Or with landscape sighting. Some are... aesthetic machines. Flower chasers. Pet lovers. Documentarists. Eroticians. Thanaticians. Ghost hunters. Storytellers. Fortune tellers. Blood drinkers. Money makers...
Tangómana, instead, portrays the joy of being alive.
And proudly gets number 786! (with an 88 inside).
Gracias, Celeste!

Alim is an important part from my Athens Adventure. We both were strangers in a strange land... He's very good with the camera and he has a sharp style with the pen and a splendid imagination for telling stories. And here's the other image he made just for me: LINK
And i feel guilty! I never did a decent drawing for Alim. And, on top of it, I asked him for MORE drawings when I returned to Morelia with my bag full of presents, INCLUDING his personal comic anthology and another one from his collective :) Proud owner!!!
I don't understand shit, but I also really like his live-journal. Make a visit!
Thanks, Alimus!
PS: (I've just tried the google webpage translator. It works!! Welcome to the XXI century, Patricio...)

I'm proud to say that the first serious graphic-novel in this country belongs to Edgar (Operación Bolivar, Ed. Planeta, Ed. del Castor, Ed. Caligrama).
No one blends in a better way the prehispanic cosmovision with the modern catastrophe of new economics. When he's telling hard fiction around non-fictional matters, he takes no prisoners.
He's a corn-flavored heat-seeking missile.

Outer spaces meeting inner spaces with a razor-sharp sense for design.
This british photographer and I have a silent agreement: to compulsively find hidden thoughts on every corner of the world. Invention is allowed. And the best way for deciphering the hidden message is using square-perfect-frames. His way of finding tiny universes is so unique... and at the same time so familiar.
I'm very pleased with his collaboration. I couldn't expect less.
Number 781, by Davespertine.
Thanks, Dave!

Kostas Kiriakakis is involved in the production of an upcoming greek movie/documentary around comics media. But mostly, he's a gifted multifacetic illustrator.
When we made the interview for the film, the crew had to separate us by force. Alter-ego shit.
He's a really charming guy. Visit his site!

Meet Adriano (artist formerly known as Adrián P. Acosta).
He reads in bed. He plays the guitar and bass.
He does wonderful ink-drawings and watercolors.
He has the good habit of writing short fiction around his imaginary snapshots.*
He has the bad habit of being my unconditional friend since 1996.
Gracias, Adriano!

In the mexican comics-scene, this man doesn't need any introduction.

All things can happen in this blog.
Time ago I wanted to invite some friends and colleagues from around the globe to participate on this numbers project... To start the gallery, here's "Crack", a really cool comic character created by Mike Dialynas . I'm happy that the Athens Adventure broke the ice in many ways...
If you want to see the rest of the characters, hit the spot: X He's a blast.
Thanx, Mike!
